Brandon Tinnon | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
No stranger to this award, this sensational talent won it last year. Blair will be suiting up for MTSU this upcoming fall and I know the Blue Raider faithful can’t wait to have her on campus. This talented kid has had a stellar high school career where she has terrorized opponents throughout her four years. She finished her career with 2,234 points, 1,047 rebounds, 205 blocks, and 278 steals. Numbers like this scream next-level athlete. Her list of accolades is a mile long, but her style of play is tremendous. She got it done nightly almost averaging close to a double-double in each contest. Blessed with size and length, she was big-time for her club as she was the X factor for them. With an amazing work ethic, she set the tone for every game and established her presence on the floor. Look for her to continue to grow at the next level and be a solid fit for the Lady Blue Raiders program.

No stranger to this stage at all, but the MTSU signee is up for this award for a third time. In 2023 she won the award and looks to do so this year as well. She is averaging close to a double-double in every single contest, dropping 20+ ppg and owning the boards in double figures. She is the anchor in the middle, where she deters shots from those who dare to even get close to the rim. Her body of work speaks for itself, however, it’s her presence that ignites her teammates around her. WCHS has been on a tear ever since she stepped foot on campus. This girl is solid and a tremendous pick-up for the Lady Raiders program. Look for her to continue to lead her team to new heights in the postseason.

Is just a monster down low. This young lady won this award last season and also had been mentioned as a finalist the year before winning it. She is a MTSU signee who knows how to put the ball in the cup. Averaging 21.8ppg, 9.2rpg, 2.7asp, and 1.7bpg, she is a hungry individual who knows how to get the job done. Her team feeds off her energy and effort. She raises the level of play around her and makes it difficult for opponents to operate. Stellar kid who has had a great career in high school.

I’m gonna say it now, she may be back to back Miss Tennessee winner. The MTSU signee is tough and had her third 30 point game last night. She anchored the paint, going through the opposition with relentless energy. Mars Hill had no answer for her as she carved them up using multiple moves on her way to the basket. Wayne Co. is in a mission and they have an exceptional leader in Blair. Look for her to continue to thrive as this senior season will be a special one to remember.

Miss Tennessee basketball winner last season could potentially win it again as well this season. This kid is phenomenal at anchoring the middle for the Lady Wildcats. A walking double-double, she owns the interior, pounding the paint and knocking down mid-range jumpers. She is effective and efficient, using the glass to help put the ball in the net. What I love most about her game is that she does her work on the defensive end as well. Blocking shots, eliminating teams to one shot attempt by collecting boards. The Glass House in Murfreesboro is not strange territory to this young lady. She has been there every year since she started high school and it will be her future home as she has committed to play for the Lady Blue Raiders next season. Look for Blair to attend to some unfinished business with her team while racking up accolades along the way. Tough, hard nose kid who is a great two-way player.

2025 forward, and recent MTSU commit, had 17 Pts, 10 Rebs, 6 Blocks & 5 Assts to lead Wayne Co (TN) to a 47-37 win vs Collinwood in District 11A Champ Game! Blair was named All-District & District 11A Player of the Year. She’s simply phenomenal, and was named Ms. TN her sophomore year, and was a finalist last season. She’s a double-double machine averaging 18 points and 8 rebounds a game. She’s truly diversified her skill set and is looking to prove herself as guard/wing with shooting and playmaking off the dribble. Her size/athleticism makes her a legitimate threat across the statistical board.

Looked excellent vs Oak Ridge. Played at her own pace, and never allowed OR’s pressure to speed her up out of her comfort zone. Her skill level is so darn good, and was able to beat defenders off the dribble and get to the midrange or all the way to the rim with either hand. She immediately jumps off the floor when you watch her as her combination of size and skill is hard to find. There is a reason she’s a perennial Miss Basketball candidate, and she showed out at BCAT.

2025 wing Blair Baugus Blair Baugus 6'0" | PF Wayne Co. | 2025 State TN had the best season of her career as a junior this season. The Miss Basketball candidate was dominant from start to finish. The junior wing has been averaging nearly 20 and 10 all season long, and is picking up major D1 interest. Looking forward to seeing if she can ramp it up another level this season.
