About Blakely

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’d describe my game as versatile and aggressive. I’m comfortable playing anywhere on the court. I like to push the tempo, attack the basket, and create for my teammates, but I can also knock down shots from the perimeter. On defense, I take pride in being a lockdown defender and making things tough every possession

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’d describe my mentality as competitive and confident. I play with a lot of energy and take pride in doing whatever my team needs to win. I stay aggressive, trust my work, and try to bring intensity on both ends, especially on defense.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Highest Academic Honors Awards.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed strong leadership and teamwork skills through both basketball and volleyball. As a setter on my club volleyball team, I’m responsible for leading the offense and making sure everyone is in the right position, which has really helped me grow as a leader and communicator. In basketball, I lead by example with my effort and energy, especially on defense.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that’s competitive and pushes me to get better every day. I want a strong team culture, coaches who believe in me, and a place where I can grow both as a player and a person. Academics are important to me too, so I’m looking for a good balance between basketball and school.
