Blythe had a big game scoring the ball finishing with 19 points for Team KMA, something she has been doing consistently for the last few years. Cunningham, like Shepard, is much more than a shooter. She does a very good job reading the defense and making backdoor cuts to the basket, specifically on the baseline. She also has the ability to create her own shot of the dribble, not a kid who floats on the perimeter waiting for the ball. She plays the game with a high level of understanding and makes very good decisions with the basketball. Her experience playing in these events for years was very evident. She was very patient and efficient scoring the ball by not rushing shots and not taking bad ones. Cunningham have few in any turnovers and did a very good job on the defensive end.

A solid all-around player. Blythe does a little bit of everything well. She is one of those kids you can put on the floor and ask her to do anything, and she will get the job done. One of the things that impresses me the most about Cunningham is her basketball smarts. She knows where to be on the defensive side of the ball whether she is guarding the ball, one pass away in denial or two passes away and in help side. Offensively, she will play whatever role is necessarily whether it is scoring or making the right pass to her teammate.

was directing her teammates where to go to get some offensive plays going. She attacked the basket and made sure she found the open lane cutting backdoor to get the pass. She hustled on defense flying across the court to deflect passes disrupting her opponents’ offensive sets. She had some nice range with her shot, too.

Blythe is a well-versed basketball player. She is able to do a little bit of everything on the court. Extremely High IQ and coachable are two characteristics that any coach would want on their team. She is solid on offense making the correct reads and knocking down shots. Defensively, she is always in the right position. Look for Blythe to make an impact this season.

was doing a great job cutting backdoor finding the openings and making the best pass to her teammates herself with these adjustments. She has a quick release being able to move around the perimeter and catch and shoot. She did well making her defenders collapse around her as she bounced the ball into her teammates’ hands. She got her hands in the way on defense knocking it away from her opponents.

did well cleaning up the glass crashing the boards and being ready to attack scoring off the offensive rebound. She used her quickness and effective cuts to get open scoring around the perimeter off the pass. She was getting lost by her defenders sneaking to the block calling for the ball.

was scoring in transition handling the ball up the court herself or getting to the perfect spot for the pass. She had a nice backdoor cut, too, losing her defender and getting to the block to bank in the shot. She didn’t mind bullying her way to the hoop and scoring off the glass to get some momentum going. She hit a big three as the third quarter was coming to an end beating the buzzer and with defender’s hands in her face.

competes. She gets after it on defense, she crashes the glass on both ends, and she runs hard in transition. Cunningham also has a smooth jump shot and deep three-point range. Cunningham has the skill set to drain a midrange jump shot or score at the rim when her outside shot is taken away. She is having a special summer with Team KMA.

Blythe Cunningham always seems to be in the right place at the right time whether she is making cuts without the ball finding the openings to put up her shot, or she is jumping in front of a pass on defense grabbing the steal. She can handle the ball herself pushing the tempo up the court, or she does a nice job running plays executing them perfectly to get to the right spot to score some points. She doesn’t back down from getting inside to grab rebounds.

Blythe Cunningham had a clutch play in the third quarter knocking down a three pointer through contact for a four point play. She knows how to find the openings, and she slides into the gaps filling the void on defense coming up with some steals. She makes nice passes drawing defenders towards her to open up the court for her teammates.
