Hampton and Moultrie went bucket-for-bucket in the aforementioned Stayton-Wilsonville game, and it was Hampton who came out on top. I counted at least six threes in that game alone — the last of which was the cold-blooded winner in sudden-death overtime. Hampton’s game is low to the ground and isn’t flashy, but she gets the job done with fundamentals. She threads sharp and accurate bounce passes. She rises to the occasion when matched up against other highly ranked guards and defends them like her life depends on it. She is also capable of difficult off-hand finishes, although she doesn’t attempt them often. The reliable combo guard contributed to Stayton’s 4A title last year and will attempt to spearhead its title defense.

The Stayton rising junior (2027) averaged 13.5 points (shooting 44% from three), 4.3 assists, and 2 steals per game her sophomore season. When Hampton plays in her flow and with confidence she’s a hooper. The 4A state champion could run it back with Stayton next season.

Valley Tropics point guard Breeci Hampton Breeci Hampton 5'6" | PG/SG Stayton | 2027 State OR has a quick first step, excellent handles and vision, and will drain the pull-up three from the top of the arc. Hampton is effective in the pick-and-roll action and reads the defense to make the right play. She finished a clean and smooth floater from the baseline. Hampton has a perfectly timed and weighted bounce pass to assist her teammate in the 2v1 transition play. She’s an aggressive on-ball defender with quick feet and can make the athletic block on the driver.

Stayton sophomore Breeci Hampton Breeci Hampton 5'6" | PG/SG Stayton | 2027 State OR pushes the pace, hits from three, and was named to the 4A All-State Second Team. The 5-foot-6 guard was the top three-point scorer at the 2025 4A state tournament, hitting 11 threes in three games at a 46% clip. Hampton can beat her defender and find the pass that leads to a bucket. She averaged 9.7 points, 3.8 assists, 3 rebounds, and 2.2 steals per game, helped the Eagles win the Oregon West Conference title, and earned an All-Conference First Team selection her sophomore season. The conference champion averaged 14.3 points per game (shooting 42% from the field) at the 4A state tournament, guided her team to win a state championship title, and earned a unanimous All-Tournament First Team honor. The state champion jumped to No. 14 in the Prep Girls Hoops Oregon class of 2027 rankings.
