continues to do whatever it takes to get the possession diving on the floor going after loose balls. She can knock down her shot from deep with ease, and she knows how to make the sharp passes to her teammates. She’s a great ball handler bringing it up the court and controlling the tempo for her team. She hustles back on defense preventing her opponents from getting a fast break.

has been showing she can compete at a high level with a state championship under her belt, but she has really risen to tough national competition with Winston Salem Christian this year. She knows how to fit the role needed on the court whether she is bringing up the ball and running plays, or she can set herself up around the perimeter to knock down a shot or attack the basket from there. She’s a nuisance on defense, too, being able to jump in front of passes and pick the pocket of her opponents.

had a nice take to the rim changing directions on her way to scoring her points. She was doing a nice job pushing the tempo hitting her teammates in stride as she pushed the ball up the court on a fast break. She got several of these fast breaks going by picking the pocket of her opponents.

Throughout her high school career, Carelock has had a very stacked athletic plate. In addition to what she gets accomplished on the basketball court, Carelock also partakes in cross country competitions alongside playing volleyball. Instead of wearing the red of Northside Christian this season, Carelock will instead sport the purple of Winston Salem Christian in 2024-25. The time she spent on the travel circuit throughout the spring and summer with FBC Carolina Elite Phoenix should translate into a stellar season with the Lions. Carelock is listed at 5-foot-5 and will give a team productive minutes at the point, at the two or as a combo guard.

She can set up offensive plays hitting her teammates in stride as they cut to the basket. She’s a tenacious defender, too, being able to strip the ball away from her opponents to take the other direction.
