Brianna McDermott is one of the most exciting true point guards around. The 2025 Greenwich Country Day star is a dynamic talent that has a ton of essential qualities in her game. McDermott can score with the best of them, but she uses her scoring ability to create for others. She excels running offense in the halfcourt and she pushes the pace in transition. As a floor general, she is able to exercise all available options that arise as the offense develops. Any defender that tries to crowd Brianna is held off with her tight handle. She isn’t afraid to back defenders off with a flurry of quick moves to create space for herself while she is running the offense. Brianna sports a pleasant 3-point shot that she uses to keep the defense honest. If defenders do happen to fall back off her, she will not hesitate to shoot the open shot. McDermott’s passes are high-level and meticulous too. She seems to always make the right pass when playmaking on the fly. Brianna is able to hit different options because of her patience and ability to hit all targets as the play evolves. Defensively, McDermott uses her slippery nature to get in the way and become a pest for ballhandlers. In total, Brianna is one of the players to be wary of.
