About Briley

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Comfortable playing slow and methodical or run and gun, depending on the nature and tempo/needs of the game. I try to set the tone on defense and play a well rounded game on offense.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m competitive but down-to-earth. I take my goals seriously—especially on the court—but I like to keep things fun and positive. I’m pretty driven, whether it’s in sports or school, and I try to be a good teammate and friend. I’m still figuring things out, but I’m always trying to grow and push myself.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am currently involved in Student Government Association, Student Ambassadors, and Health Sciences club. During the school year, I volunteer as a high school mentor to middle and elementary school students in an afterschool program. Each summer I participate in a week-long leadership training.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have shown leadership skills in the classroom and on the court by earning a high gpa my freshman year while starting as a guard on my varsity high school team. Paired with that is involvement in different organizations and volunteer acts with youth and the church.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Life is all about adjusting and being flexible to your focused approach to life.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a school where I can play basketball and still have a solid college experience—good academics, a supportive team, and a place that feels like home.
