Following this past weekend, Brinley Altenburg Brinley Altenburg 5'10" | CG/PG Sioux Falls Jefferson | 2027 State #65 Nation SD ‘s recruitment has been ON FIRE for being a prospect out of the 2027 Class. Altenburg over the last couple of days has picked up offers from Ohio State, Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa State, and of course, Iowa. When I saw Altenburg competing up a grade level this year with her AIA 16U EYBL team, it wasn’t hard to tell that she was a future Power-5 D1 player competing out on the floor. I’m sure by the time she gets to being a Senior, she will have 30+ D1 offers but until then, I’m sure she is just going to keep on working.

Brinley is a rising star in South Dakota basketball. Heading into her sophomore season at Sioux Falls Jefferson she already has vital experience from both her AAU experience with All Iowa Attack and her varsity level playing time at Jefferson. She is a complete guard that has one of the most explosive games in the state of South Dakota. An elite scorer she can knock down threes, create shots in the mid-range, and use her quickness to get to the rim and finish. Defensively she gets after it with great intensity and a really high basketball IQ. With offers from D1 schools like South Dakota State University, University of South Dakota, Creighton, and Drake the sky is the limit for what this guard can achieve the rest of her career.
