About Brooke

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a versatile guard capable of playing both point or shooting guard. Deadly on the 3pt line with a quick release. Also a strong finisher to the rim. I see the floor really well and make good decisions with the ball, and read defenses well. My teammates appreciate my leadership and unselfish command. I am a top defensive player w/ a long reach.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My coaches and teachers appreciate my work ethic, positive attitude, and coachability. I am a 3 season athlete (Basketball, Lacrosse, and Volleyball) but I play Basketball and LAX on Regional AAU and Club teams almost year round. My passion is basketball, and my dream is to play at the collegiate level.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

High Honors every Quarter Student of the Month University of New England (UNE) Leadership Summit Nominee & Attendee American Legion- Distinguished Achievement Award/Scholarship Recipient-Courage, Honor, Leadership, Patriotism, Scholarship & Service-8th grade Promotion Scholarship-Saco Middle School Recipient Most Likely to Cheer Someone Up-Superlative Yearbook as voted on by class peers

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Brooke was one of the better complete shooters from the showcase. Bodnar offered a great reliable sense of perimeter extension around the arc. A solid option for drive and kick plays from her teammates when they were penetrating the paint. Brooke made herself available by finding open space while relocating around the 3-point line. The Thornton Academy guard made herself a consistent target by being consistently shot ready and an easy reach for shooting relief from bailout plays. She offers a reliable dribble with great court awareness. Bodnar has decent size for the position that made her interchangeable for her squads, including on the defensive end. Bodnar was certainly an understated talent from the event
