Brooke Kuzmch was incredible again in the Class State Final Four, but her team came up just a little short. Kuzmich concluded her legendary career with a double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds in the finale. She added 18 points in the semifinal game. Kuzmich’s graduation will be the end of an era for local basketball fans who have followed her brilliant career. She has been a prolific player. Kuzmich is a great shooter from every spot on the floor and is an especially effective shooter from beyond the arc. Kuzmich can drive to the basket equally well with either hand and can pull up for a short jumper on a dime. She is a superb ballhandler with outstanding court vision and passing ability. Kuzmich makes every player around her better.

of Greenwich. She is simply one of the most polished small school guards in the state. Even when Kuzmich doesn’t score much, which is a rare occurrence, she still impacts winning in a variety of ways. Kuzmich was held to four points in the title game, but was still awarded the Class C Most Valuable Player, which speaks to how much of a role she has in games. She led her team with 12 rebounds and used her high basketball IQ to find her teammates for open shots. She scored 21 points in the semifinal round. Kuzmich can score at every level and is a tremendous outside shooter, especially from 3-point range. She is outstanding off the dribble and a superior ballhandler.

and her teammates are looking to avenge a loss to No. 2 Stillwater in last year’s final. The Witches opened the playoffs with a convincing 88-29 victory over Kipp Capital Region Charter. Kuzmich paced the Greenwich three-headed monster that scored a combined 77 points. Kuzmich poured in 29 points to lead her team. Kuzmich is averaging 20 points, 8 rebounds, 5 steals, and six assists per game in leading Greenwich to a 20-1 mark. Kuzmich is a great shooter, especially from 3-point range. She is a solid ballhandler who can beat defenders off the dribble to score or distribute the ball. Her command of the Greenwich offense will be a major factor in how deep her team goes in the playoffs.

is a fundamentally sound player who has been one of the best players in New York from a small school for several seasons. Last year, Kuzmich was named a New York State Class C first-team all-star. Kuzmich is her school’s all-time leading scorer with over 2,200 points. She is a prolific scorer who can impact a game in a variety of ways. Kuzmich is a very good 3-point shooter. She can drive to the basket and score with ease. Kuzmich is an excellent passer and a very good decision maker. She is a hard worker on the defensive end of the floor as well.
