There is a smoothness that Maves plays with, and it’s enjoyable to watch. However, there is a ruggedness to what she does as well. Maves is a physical kid who can play through contact without any issues. You can tell how much power she has in her lower half when she shoots because it’s an effortless release. The Evansville native was a bit streaky in her sophomore season, but I’ll chalk that up to her usage and the attention the guard demanded from defenses. There is something that makes me think she could be a scholarship-level kid but a definite next-level prospect.

After seeing Brooklyn Maves preform on Day 1 of PGH 2K23, it was obvious that she was a player that had a “put-together” overall game, while possessing a great feel for the ball. On both sides of the floor Maves was a pivotal player for her team. She scored at all three levels, played tenacious defense, and rebounded consistently well for her size. From everything I saw this weekend, Maves is primed for a big high school season this upcoming fall. Her game translates in every facet, now she just needs to go out and make it happen.

is one of the most pure scorers at the 15U level competing here at PGH 2K23 this weekend. Maves has a fundamental and balanced shot from all three levels on the floor, while being a solid handler and rebounder of the ball as well. In the two contests that I saw her compete in today, she was the most “put together” player, that was on the floor between both teams out there. In one contest specifically Maves had 18 points on 5-8 shooting from behind the arc. Overall, a nice prospect, that could play at a really high level, looking toward the future.
