How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Brooklyn operates with a high motor, pushing herself and her teammates at all times. She is a fast competitor, gaining momentum on the court as her dribbling and shooting improves daily. Brooklyn is aggressive with her defense and is the one you want face guarding an opponent who needs to be shut down.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Brooklyn is a sweet and sensitive young lady, however she transforms when she hits the basketball court. She is competitive, positive, humble and eager. She is hard on herself and is constantly working on emotion management and mental toughness.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Brooklyn is currently in 6th grade, she participated in middle school basketball, playing this season on a 7th grade team. She also plays Club Volleyball, and will begin track for Spring 2025. She is on track to join the Junior National Honor Society, as she consistently holds a 4.0 GPA throughout her entire 6th grade career. In previous years she has participated in Girl Scouts, Church Usher.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Over the course of the last year Brooklyn has learned leadership skills, pulling up her teammates, providing positive feedback and constructive criticism to others. She also is willing to accept feedback from coaches and teammates. She invites teammates to the gym on non practice days and is always looking to get time on the court.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Brooklyn struggles with feeling frustrated when teammates "give up" or show "lack of effort." Learning how to turn the feeling of frustration into motivation, positive team talk and mentoring has helped her. She is always striving for greatness and is aware that emotion management is high on her list of things to manage.

What type of college are you looking for?

Brooklyn expresses the desire to go to a Division 1 school. While she is only in 6th grade, she has always shared she wants to be an OBGYN or a Chiropractor when she is older. Her top picks are Nebraska, Ohio, Iowa or Wisconsin, she is also interested in UCONN.
