She knows how to find the open lanes getting the passes and scoring through contact for an old fashioned three point play. truly knows how to hustle getting back on defense and blocking shots in transition. She used her quickness to jump into passing lanes and push these steals up the court to the other end. is an excellent leader for her team facilitating offensive sets handling the ball, attacking the gaps, and making some nice passes to her teammates. She can get to the rim easily making some nice change of direction moves making her defenders lose their footing. Saunders is an exceptional guard. She can score from inside or out. She also has terrific court vision to pass. Additionally, she forced over 5 steals per game for her team as a junior. On the glass, she rebounds with full effort on offense and defense. Saunders impacts any game in a variety of ways. She is a versatile talent with the ability to shoot the outside shot or get to the foul line. Saunders is an elite defender who takes pride in curing the defender off before they turn the corner. She is quick, she is athletic, and she is extremely skilled on the basketball floor.

When the basketball is in her hands, great things happen on the court. Saunders is able to score, drop a perfect pass to a teammate, or get to the foul line. What I love most about Brooklyn is that she is always in “GO” mode. She loves to push the tempo and she will force defenders to play at her pace. She has so much speed with the ball in her hands and she has great recognition on when and how to distribute the ball. She is such a dominate player that you will see coaches elect to double her, however her quickness allows her to be able to split the double and make plays accordingly. Solid decision-maker with the ball in her hands and she is very efficient. So much to love about her game.

Saunders’ Butler team began this year’s rendition of the Winborn Showcase in auspicious fashion with a win over 4A Lancaster. It concluded in inauspicious fashion because of losses to Fort Mill and A.C. Flora, but Sanders herself finished with a flourish. The skilled junior point guard for the Bulldogs scored 16 points to lead her team. Saunders understands the art of playing at point as she knows how to organize an offense in a halfcourt set. As potent a playmaker as she is, she attracts a great deal of attention from defenses and has a knack for finding a lane to the rim. Saunders has played for Carolina Flames 17U during the travel months.

Brooklyn Saunders is a fun point guard to watch because she gets after it 100% of the time on the court. She’s shifty with her moves getting to the rim easily, and she can set herself up to knock down the shot from deep. She hustles after loose balls making sure her team has a chance for the possession, and her court vision is apparent at all times being able to find her open teammates leading them to the open spot.
