Expert Analysis

The first thing that pops when the ball tips up is Brooklyn’s size and how agile she is for that size. Her functional strength in games pops when she is fighting for rebounds and boxing out. When she’s driving to the basket she’s able to use her shoulder to shield off defenders and keep her leverage to the rim. Her shooting ability continues to grow with every game i’ve watched. Her shooting mechanics are sound. I think the most underrated skill of hers and what will be intriguing with coaches at the next level is her ability to guard up and down the lineup with her lateral quickness being good enough for guards and having the size and strength to guard power forwards and center which also creates lineup flexibility for coaches.

Brooklyn is easily one of the best projected players in this state, regardless of the class. The frame alone has pushed her up into conversations with mid major to high major college coaches. She is a player who will be the focal point for her HS program for the rest of her career. Her offensive skillset is heavily based on her having the ball in her hand, however, what she does without the ball will be intriguing for colleges. She’s quick when it comes to cutting, she can catch and shoot.. and her frame allows her to set strong screens to get people open with ease.

It’s one thing to be consistent throughout the season, but having a tournament where every game is back to back and still play at an elite level deserves credit. It shows durability and focus. Brooklyn displayed that. I think going into the spring and summer, the offers will begin to pile. She can take over a game from the offensive side, and defensively can handle 1-3, and deal with 4 and 5’s if necessary.

Schilb has been dominant from day 1 this season, and it seems like she’s coasting through it, simply because she plays the game with simplicity and pace. She scores from behind or she gets to the rim; in both scenarios, it’s usually done with ease. She has the collegiate frame and the right amount of poise to truly make an impact on a program.

Schilb has gotten better this summer, which will be a nightmare for those in her conference, simply cause she was already dominant last season. She has the guard skills and has the frame to be a problem in the paint as well. She is a 1st team all state type of talent, and I don’t think she’s even near her what peak could be. Major upside.

Brooklyn has the frame for a college athlete, and if she’s not done growing, she could be a real problem to deal with over the next couple of years. Her skillset is still being fine tuned, but her trajectory is only pointing upwards, and she could be one of those gems that has a huge sophomore season.

Schlib makes her way into the top three prospects of this class. During the high school season, she was a key reason why her program made a deep run, and just a few AAU games into the new season, she’s already earned First Team All-Tournament honors in the 16U division. High potential.

Brooke has been key in much of the success that St. Charles East has had since the start of the season. The fact that she is a freshman with so many years ahead of her is a crazy thought when you consider her frame. She is only getting better with her skillset, and there is a chance she could even grow a bit more.

A for-sure top 10 prospect in this class, Brooklyn has the D1 college frame already, and she’s not even scratching the surface of what she can be. As her skillset becomes one with her athleticism, she’ll be a problem to deal with over the next couple of years.
