About Brooklyn

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My game-play style is quick paced and intentional. My defense, I believe, is one of my best qualities as a player. I aim to be a disruptive defensive player. I value the mindset needed to have a strong defense. For offense, I believe in empowering my team and leading by example. I am just as comfortable taking the shot as I am setting up others to do the same.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My personality is thoughtful, intentional, caring, intelligent, goofy, and hardworking. My personality shows through the way I play the game. As a player, I am open to feedback, resilient, gritty and empowering. I do my best to model good sportsmanship at all times. I believe that sportsmanship is one of the most important and valuable qualities of any player.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Selected for 2026 Michigan Art Education Association (MAAE) Region 9 Art Show

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

As the oldest sibling, I have developed many skills such as teamwork, leadership, emotional regulation, communication and setting a good example. I know my younger siblings look up to me so I hold myself to a high standard of doing the right thing and being accountable when I make a mistake. I believe in showing up for my siblings and things they love while including them in things I love.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Getting a mild concussion during the beginning of my freshman year was a challenge for me. It was hard to sit back and watch my team play without me. I learned that I can motivate and be a good leader from the bench just like I can be on the court. By missing two games, it gave me perspective of what my life would be like without the sport I love. It unlocked the drive and focus to get back.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that values students and athletes. One that sets us up for the futures we want and helps make us well rounded people. I want them to have a good alumni base and community connection.
