About Camilla

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play with hustle. I’m always diving for loose balls and sprinting back on defense. I like to be aggressive while driving, passing, and playing defense. I enjoy bringing energy and picking my teammates up. I can finish at the rim, but I’m also not afraid to shoot.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I love to be a bright person. I bring energy and positivity everywhere I go. I will always help someone who is down, and I will support everyone no matter what. I work hard at everything I do, which is reflected in my grades and my athletic performance.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have received High Honor Roll for my grades. I am president of my freshman class student council. I am involved in Our Lady of Nazareth Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and I am a student Ambassador. I received Jimmy John’s Athlete of the Month at my high school.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I am a natural leader. I lead my team on the floor mentally, along with the play. I am always picking up anyone who is down making sure they play the best they can. I help others know what to do and assert my presence on the court. I also lead my freshman class and their student president.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a place that feels like home away from home. A place where I can fit in and be surrounded with love and support. I am looking for a faith centered campus and place where I can get my education finished and go onto my future. Along with my education and future, I am looking for a place that I fit in to play the sport I love.

When a player who is not above 6 feet is bringing down a high number of boards, that usually points to high energy, high awareness, high IQ, or a strong combination of all three. Camilla has been showing signs of the latter. She has a strong, lengthy frame, but it is her need to stay in constant motion that makes her such a threat on the glass and on the defensive end as a whole. She can definitely impact the floor offensively, too, but if I am a college coach, I love seeing a kid who puts real emphasis on the things outside of points scored. Big fan.

Camilla plays the game strong, and when you match her frame with that, you can count on her to usually win her matchup. Offensively, she does most of her damage near the rim, but does show the confidence to extend beyond the arc. On the opposite side, she has the same energy and aggression. A player to keep an eye on as she grows.
