Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I am an aggressive player, who’s not afraid to get on the floor and hustle for the ball/rebounds. I am a paint scorer who likes driving to the lane but can also pull up for jumpers.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
Mentally, I believe it’s important to always give effort no matter what. I believe when you think you’ve pushed yourself enough there’s always more you can do. I have a very positive personality and make sure to push my teammates, so that they can get better as well.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I am currently involved in NHS (National Honors Society), and Student Council. I am also top 15 in my class for grades/GPA.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
As I continue my basketball journey I’ve learned that true leaders don’t only push themselves but also push their teammates and hold them accountable. A leader is someone who does stuff even when no one else wants to do it. I also believe in teamwork is the best aspect of the game. You could have multiple talented individuals but if you don’t play together as a team it means nothing.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
During my freshman year of basketball, I had a mental struggle with finding confidence, so much so I didn’t find happiness in playing anymore. But, I began to push myself and constantly work on my game so that when I stepped out on the court I was confident in my abilities as a player, and it really dug me out of my mental hole and allowed me to be the player I am today.
What type of college are you looking for?
I am looking for a college that continually pushes their team to be the best. I want to work hard everyday, and also have a good relationship with my team. Culture is very important to me, and I believe a great culture can make or break teams.
