Camryn Smith made it clear that she was a three-point specialist. She found her spot and let it fly all day long. There were several high school coaches who had seen her go for 6 or 7 threes before in a game and just deflate the opponent. Her release was smooth, and all her shots were online. She moved the ball and showed a high basketball IQ. She knows how to use a quick pass to get open and get the pass back for the shot. Her spacing on the floor was good, and she showed a lot of basketball IQ with her use of space and ball movement. Smith showed some other skills in addition to shooting. She rebounded well throughout the evening, pushed the ball up the floor, ran the point, and initiated the offense.

Smith has a very nice shooting stroke and does a good job of getting to her spots and positioning herself for her shoot. Smith has a smooth release and shoots the ball with great confidence. She is the kind of player who a team has to account for because of her shooting ability and the ability to string up 5 or 6 in a row. She moved the ball well and showed a lot of basketball IQ with her understanding of spacing and setting up her shot.

Camryn Smith Camryn Smith 5'7" | SF Coral Springs | 2025 State FL is another player who fits the theme of shooters. Camryn has mastered the catch-and-shoot three-pointer. If you swing the ball to her and make the extra pass, you won’t regret it—she will knock it down. I watched her during a travel game this season in Atlanta, where she hit six threes off the catch. If you let her spot up with her high release, she’ll shoot right over the top of you, and since she’s always ready to shoot, if you close out, she’ll pump fake, put the ball on the floor for one or two dribbles, and still get the shot off.

Smith will be fun to watch this season at Coral Springs High.
