Cara Mills Cara Mills 6'3" | C Van Buren Co. | 2026 State TN proved last season that she is both a high-level post scorer and rebounder.

For Van Buren County High School, Mills’ presence on the glass was a big factor in games. She does a great job at positioning herself for rebounds and does a great job at grabbing the ball near its highest point off the ricochet.

Mills on the offensive end she can score in a multitude of ways in the paint. She also has no issue scoring through traffic and contact. She showed both her rebounding and paint scoring promise against Moore County High School last season. In a game against the Lady raiders, she had 23 points and 13 rebounds.

Tough. Whew. This girl can beat you in so many ways. Sure, she can splash it from deep, but bringing the physicality in the painted area, holy cow, this girl is good. Cara is a juggernaut down low, and she uses her size to gain valuable ground that enables her to finish. Solid in the high post, low blocks, pick and roll action, she is a scoring threat that can get her way at any time. Defensively, she, too, is big-time on that end. Blocking shots, getting boards, her presence is really felt. Great talent that is going to be climbing the rankings sooner rather than later.

Had a tremendous year and really put everyone on notice during the state tournament. This young lady grew tremendously over the year, and she did so on both ends of the floor. From knocking down shots, shutting down the opposition, rebounds, blocks, and steals, she was truly a solid two-way player for her team. Her stock rose tremendously as she proved her worth time and time again as her squad made a state title run. Look for more of the same next season as she gets back after it.

Well, all you have to do is look at the season her high school had to realize the important role she played. She freed up so much for other people, and of course, did work herself on the interior. She brought the physicality, battled, was superb on both ends of the floor, and her performance throughout the tournament was like a myth that just kept growing and growing. Cara brought it this year and did even more down the stretch. She did her role and played it well. She is a solid two-way player who will be back hard at work this summer because she and her teammates know there is some unfinished business to attend to. Solid ball player who has arrived as one of the top bigs in the state.

Big body posts that knows how to position herself down low. She takes up real estate, burying the defense, then finishing at the rim. Has a solid mid-range game as well, where she can face up and exploit a defender. She is big-time on the boards, blocks shots, and holds down the painted area on defense. A solid ball player who impacts the game in more ways than one.

Had a big-time game yesterday. She finished with a double-double with 23 points and 20 boards. She was too much to handle down low as she established her presence early. She was great working block to block on the offensive end, finishing with strength through the opposition. Defensively, she blocked shots and owned the boards. It was a solid outing from a talented player on the rise.
