Carly Rich Carly Rich 5'6" | PG Williamsburg | 2025 State IA , in my opinion, was the star of the show last night. She started off the game with a bang, scoring six straight points (all in different ways) and continued this hot streak through the overtime period. Rich is a really smart player who is a solid floor general for her Williamsburg squad — she directs her teammates in theoir offense, is a positive communicator, and doesn’t get phased by adversity. When Williamsburg was down by two in OT, Rich hit a defender with a shot fake, side-stepped, and drained a momentum-shifting three that would put the Raiders up for good. Rich is a kid anyone would want on their team and knows how to get it done in the clutch.

Williamsburg has 3/4 upperclassman on roster that are collegiate level athletes at this time. If they continue to work hard and get the correct chances moving forward, they could compete at the next level in the right situations. I’ve had the chance to see Rich on multiple occasions over the years, on all different sorts of floors and every time she is making smart plays. No matter what the situation is. She might not be the one to show too much emotion but trust me, she is completely invested with what is going on around her and she usually see’s success because of that. For her last time on the Varsity floor, Rich, like everyone else in this piece will give it all they have. If they do that and stick to their team’s strategies, they are going to love the way it turns out in the end, when they look back on things in a few years.

Despite her label as point guard she did a little bit of everything for the Raiders, including 13.3 points (while shooting at around a 40% clip), 3.7 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game.
