Simmie Colson | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Evans is an athletic guard who uses her athleticism on both ends of the court. Her “on the ball” pressure was solid, as was her attack on the basket off the dribble and solid body control after contact. She also saw the floor both in the set and after rebounding and hitting teammates in transition

Evans is a “long and athletic” guard who uses her athleticism on both ends. She reads the floor well, plays the passing lane, and can handle the ball afterward to score or dish, but her court vision across the board was nice, as was her “baseline to baseline” pressure, which helped to create turnovers. She also scored off the dribble

Evans understands the meaning of “going hard” on both ends, and let me start with her “on the ball” pressure, which at times can be smothering. Her quick hands got her some steals, so did playing the passing lane, but she also blew by defenders to score off the dribble, and her “stop and pop” in transition was clicking

Evans is a Tip Sheet waiting to happen see evaluations here because no matter what setting I catch her in, she makes things happen. Her poise under pressure always stands out, and when you can attack off the dribble using either hand to score, that’s big plus she defended baseline to baseline

Evans showed me how tenacious she was on the defensive end at the PGH Dynasty Region Kickoff yet after catching her a few more times, both during the high school season as well as a couple of club team tryouts see evalautions here she’s positioning herself for a breakout club season and here’s why. I already mentioned her defense yet she’s powerful off the dribble and contact is ireelevant but her court vision and decision making will be HUGE

Evans gave me a lot quickly so let me start with her being an athletic guard who brought heat on both ends of the court. She attacked the basket powerfully and finished strongly, after contact but her court vision in the set as well as in transition was nice, and so was her pull-up jumper, she even gave me “the catch and shoot”. Her defensive pressure also helped to create turnovers

Evans was one of the best defensive guards at the tryout and watching her make the offensive player pick up her dribble, or force into traps had me going yet her quick hands to pick pockets was another plus. She saw the floor and she also showed she could score off the dribble

Evans is an athletic guard who does a good job of using her athleticism on both ends. Her “on the ball” pressure grabbed my attention immediately yet her strength, especially off the dribble to finish was a major plus. She also did a good job creating her shot and dropping the jumper

Combo guard with the complete package. On offense can knock down the 3 either in a catch/shoot or coming off the ball screen. A very strong mid range game with a nice pull up jumper. A tough defender on the ball and off the ball defending passing lanes. Checking out her social media and you will see that she can play some defense. High level offense player that gets after on Defense puts

Evans showed aggressiveness on both ends and with her being an athletic guard that didn’t mind defending baseline to baseline, that was a plus yet so was here attacking the basket strongly from everywhere and finishing after contact. She also saw the floor off the dribble and in the set, plus she dropped the pull-up jumper
