The Whitefish Bay guard has shown she can impact the game in an on-ball or off-ball role. Balthasar is an excellent floor spacer who will knock down open jumpers at a high 30 percent mark or higher, and is capable of handling the ball under pressure and getting her team a numerical advantage. She isn’t as flashy as most guards you’ll find nationally, but her teams have always been successful when she’s been on the floor, and at a certain point that stops being a coincidence. I like how she plays and appreciate how she approaches each possession.

The Whitefish Bay guard played a crucial role in the Blue Dukes’ run to the state title. Balthasar is a lead guard by trade, but has shown the ability to contribute as an off-ball guard alongside other talented ball handlers. She has shot the ball well over the past year and has become an intriguing small-school prospect.

The Whitefish Bay native has become a well-rounded guard who can play on or off the ball and make winning plays. Balthasar makes the right choices with the ball and doesn’t waste time on the ball. She has also become accustomed to playing off the ball, reading the game on both ends of the floor, and has become a consistent perimeter shooter. She is a player with all the intangibles and makes winning plays whenever she’s on the floor.

Defensively, Carrington gets after it! Sticks to her girl like glue! I like her motor and how she takes care of the basketball! Knocked down a big 3 at the end of the half! Orchestrates the offense very well!

Whitefish Bay’s backcourt is an elite unit. Balthasar earned a role this season and found herself in closing lineups. Her ability to drive and create for others fits the speed and tempo the Blue Dukes wanted to play at. She may not have had the role to show everything she could do at the high school level, which is ok. However, Balthasar will have a long enough leash to expand her game this summer with her Wisconsin Impact team, who finished as the runner-up in 15U EYCL last season.
