The Whitefish Bay guard is the kid who epitomizes the identity the Blue Dukes had these past few seasons. Volpe is an undersized guard who plays like her hair’s on fire and does it with a smile. The Blue Duke also shot the ball well this past high school season and will be at home playing for a program that likes to attack the basket and kick out to shooters. People will love how aggressively she defends full-court when asked and how good of a nose she has for the ball. Wisconsin Impact thinks highly of her, and her coaches believe in her enough to have her playing up with 17U.

The Whitefish Bay guard is one of the more puzzling kids in the 2027 class, in the best way possible. She’s an undersized guard who plays hard, but I’ll never understand how she affects as many aspects of a game as she does. She rebounds the ball well for a kid that doesn’t have much size, seems to find space to knock down perimeter shots at an above 40% clip regularly, and finds ways to make plays off the dribble when she has to. It may be a bias of watching her make big shots in the past, but she also has a knack for being in the right place at the right time. Her two late threes against Waunakee are prime examples, but her game on the road against Hartford last season. Late in close games, Volpe finds ways to make something happen.
