About Carter

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

A true team-first player who prioritizes making high-IQ decisions to impact winning. Versatile two-way contributor capable of defending positions 1–5. Offensively, brings strong three-point shooting, playmaking ability, and excellent off-ball movement to create opportunities for teammates and keep the offense flowing.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a floor general who leads with confidence and composure. I take pride in being an extension of my coach on the court by communicating, organizing, and putting my teammates in the best position to succeed. I have a team-first mentality, stay poised under pressure, and hold myself and others accountable.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Student of the Month (self-directed and kindness)

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed strong leadership and communication skills as a point guard, learning how to organize, encourage, and hold my teammates accountable. I take pride in being a team-first player who values trust and chemistry. Through my experiences, I’ve also built resilience and discipline, which carry over both on and off the court.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced is overcoming multiple knee surgeries. I was born knock-kneed and underwent surgeries, spending over 18 months playing with four screws in my knees. This limited my mobility and range of motion, but I continued to compete and never stepped away from the game. My last surgery was May 2025, and the experience has strengthened my resilience and work ethic.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college program that plays fast, pushes the pace, and values guards who can run a team. I thrive in an up-tempo system where I can lead, create for others, and make quick decisions. I want to be part of a team that emphasizes communication, accountability, and a team-first mindset. I’m also grateful for any opportunity to play at the collegiate level.
