Scherpereel was one of the opening day standouts I caught at the event, and seeing her handling her business in the championship was nice see evaluations here. Her smoothness under pressure and ability to understand how to get hers “in the flow” as well as “take over offensively” when needed are just things you can’t teach. Off the dribble, creating her shot for the pull-up, as well as seeing the floor, were all on full display, yet her defense and playing the passing lane also looked good
