Day 1: Murray had a strong showing. She plays with maturity beyond her years, understanding how to play the game the right way while remaining poised within the team’s offense. I was extremely impressed with her perimeter shooting, but even more impressed by her ability to break down defenders, attack the paint, finish off one foot, and create scoring opportunities for her teammates. Murray is highly skilled with the ball and an impressive passer who can deliver through traffic.

Murray is one of the most highly-touted incoming freshmen out west and it is easy to see why. The 5-foot-6 point guard is as dynamic of a player you’ll find with the ball in her hands and her ability to make good things happen seems to come natural – but there has been plenty of work behind the scenes that has developed her elite basketball IQ. Murray is an elite three-level scorer who can take over a game with her bucket-getting prowess but she is also an elite creator with her vision and playmaker on the defensive end.
