Three rings are on Grant’s fingers for a reason. Grant is also fresh off leading her 4A North Augusta assembling to another state championship. At this year’s Carolinas Classic, Grant would score 15 points – which is, ironically, the same amount of points she tallied in the Yellow Jackets’ state game with Westside. Grant did many of the things that has defined her career at the high school level with North Augusta – including making plays in crunch time and finding her way to the free throw line. She also played in all of the Yellow Jackets’ 29 games this season averaging 12.7 points, 5.1 rebounds, three assists and 1.9 steals.

A team has to beat the champs in order to be the champs. Grant and her 4A North Augusta assembling made an emphatic statement in a home region contest against Gray Collegiate that the path to 4A state may still go through the CSRA. She reached the 1,500-point plateau for her illustrious career under coach Al Young’s tutelage. North Augusta routed the War Eagles by a final score of 59-21 this past Tuesday. Through 18 games, the Yellow Jackets star senior has averaged 10.8 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.9 steals per contest. Grant has already won two state championships with North Augusta and is in search of a third as her high school career nears its conclusion. Two words – unsigned senior.

When things were going 4A North Augusta’s way in its contest with 5A Division 1 Blythewood, it was mostly because the Bengals defense had little answers for the Yellow Jackets’ star upperclassman. She had 17 points to lift North Augusta to a 59-51 win over Blythewood – including 10 prior to the halftime. Grant knew how to display her accuracy from behind the 3-point line – particularly from the corner. Out of the four triples that the Yellow Jackets connected on, three were courtesy of Grant. She fuses together talent, tenacity, camaraderie with teammates and veteran decision making which is why North Augusta is a 4A state contender once again.

There is a reason why the veteran star from 4A North Augusta is among the top players in the 2026 class. We have chronicled her career extensively at Prep Girls Hoops from when she began her high school career with the Yellow Jackets as a seventh grader and when she played in a 4A state championship game as an eighth grader. Grant is another who displayed she is ready to finish her high school career with an exclamation point. It is well-documented how tough and effective she can be in the painted area, but Grant displayed a willingness to try her hand at the 3-point shot as well.

Speaking of multi-time state champions, the same now applies to this veteran star of the state power that is 4A North Augusta. The Yellow Jackets were matched up against Westside – a team that had previously had North Augusta’s number (see the 2021-22 4A final as well as last season’s Upper State semifinal). Grant would score 17 points to ensure a 50-37 victory for her Yellow Jackets over the Rams. The win gives North Augusta its sixth state championship in the past nine seasons (alongside seven overall appearances). Grant also grabbed six rebounds, collected two steals and made six of her seven free throw attempts.

There are not too many teams across the state that can make a 5A juggernaut like Dutch Fork look average. That is what Grant and her North Augusta squad did on Monday afternoon at Lexington. Grant led the Yellow Jackets with 18 points and North Augusta won this year’s Gold Bracket championship at the Lexington Christmas Classic. Grant will keep her hands outstretched on defense and can arrive from seemingly out of nowhere to deliver clutch defensive plays that will give her team additional offensive possessions. She displays impressive handles and showcases her toughness with her willingness to fall to the floor to complete a play.
