Charlise is one of our highest-ranked players in the class of 2027, and it’s for great reason. Standing at 6’5″, her height and frame are among the first things you notice when you see her on the court. Starns has legitimate two-way potential. She’s gifted on the offensive end, dominating in the paint. While also providing spacing on the perimeter as a jump-shooting threat. Meanwhile, on the defensive side of the ball, Starns uses that size to her advantage. Charlise is an elite rim protector and absolutely gets after it on the glass.

Starns is a versatile, towering big with athleticism who impacts the game all over the floor. She has the ability to stretch the defense with her shooting range while also operating as a point forward, capable of bringing the ball up, facilitating the offense, and pushing the pace in transition. Unstoppable in the paint on both ends, she controls the glass and is difficult to defend, both facing up and with her back to the basket. On the defensive end, her size allows her to protect the rim and anchor the paint. Her all-around skill set has made her one of the hottest recruiting targets in the class, with Division I offers continuing to pile up.

Starns should be coming out of The Talent Show and Spooky Nook with several offers knocking on her door! The 6’5 C/PF has such an impact on both ends of the court! Huge rim protector, terrific footwork and can flat out score. (Below with ball)

Starns will be one of the best prospects in the state by the time it’s all said and done. The 6’5 post can do it all and still has a lot of time for leaps in her development. That she hasn’t gotten more attention across various rankings sites is baffling to me. Starns is an inside-outside threat that can impact the game on both ends of the floor. Offensively, she is gifted. Good shooting mechanics from the perimeter with NBA range. Her footwork in the post is elite and can finish in a multitude of ways. She is a gifted passer and has handles to push the pace in transition.
