Chaskee is another Bulldog who was critical to her team’s great season. She was one of three All-District players (others being Vetter and Ellie Skretteberg). What impressed me most about Schmidt’s game was her ability to use her strong frame around the basket. She was coached how to seal up the lane and made it very difficult for opponents to get position. If opponents sat behind her on defense, she just ducked-in and got position right by the basket for easy buckets. She plugged up their defense and was an excellent rebounder as well.
