Chevelle is the proven leader for Washburn and has helped them off to a 5-2 start. Their only two losses are by single digits, one to Class A’s Hazen and the other Park River, a solid Class B team. Obering is her team’s primary ball-handler and does a good job of finding her teammates with on-target passes. She is also a scoring threat, having averaged double-figures the last few seasons. Her three-point shooting is key to Washburn’s success. The All-Region returner is having a great senior season.

Chevelle was an All-District and All-Region selection last season as a sophomore and is followed that up with another great season as a junior. She is averaged about 12.5 points per game and is a solid threat from behind the arc. She is a key returner for her team and her team’s highest returning scorer from last season. She helped the Cardinals to many weeks in the top 10 rankings this year.
