The 2025-26 season would see 2A Timberland reach 20 wins for the first time since the 2010-11 season when the Wolves won that season’s 2A championship. Feb. 24 would be a day to remember for both Greene and her Wolves. Not only did Timberland earn a 45-32 victory over Marion to eliminate the Swamp Foxes from the 2A state tournament but Greene would reach the 1,000-point mark for her career. Greene was one of five seniors on this past season’s Timberland team. The 10.8 points, 4.4 steals, four rebounds and 2.7 assists she averaged helped the Wolves to a berth in the Lower State finals.

Timberland earned a ranking of sixth in the most recent 2A girls coaches’ poll and played like a team worthy of said ranking in its first-round postseason contest against Barnwell. The Wolves routed the Warhorses with the final score being 56-10. Greene’s 18 points ensured Timberland would indeed punch a ticket to the second round. She also brought down three rebounds and collected a steal. Greene is one of five on the Wolves’ roster that is part of Timberland’s 2026 graduating class. The Wolves have won 20 games for the first time since 2010-11 – when it won a 2A state championship. Up next for the Wolves will be a second-round contest against Kingstree.

Greene was mean for the green and orange on Saturday morning at the North Charleston Athletic Center. Her 2A Timberland squad put forth a dominant effort against 3A North Charleston with the final being a commanding 73-24. With 22 points, Greene led all scorers to the Wolves’ third victory on the young 2023-24 campaign. Greene is listed at 5-foot-4 and plays mostly at either of the guard spots in the backcourt. She may only be a sophomore but has the experience of an upperclassman given she has played at the varsity level since she was a seventh grader. Her ability to score, rebound, collect steals and get out in transition are reasons why Greene managed to work her way up from junior varsity to the varsity ranks.

Greene really looks to score the ball when given the chance. China plays the game with a fearless mindset and generally off the ball. Greene likes to play in attack mode and leak out in transition at times for cheapies heading the other direction. She was able to finish with her left-hand at times here today.

China is a small and fearless guard for the Lady Wolves. She is more of combo guard who really likes to play off the ball. Greene has no problems pulling up from downtown and shooting the 3-ball on short notice. China will leak out for some cheapies in transition at times and really has a knack to score the ball.

China had a great showing back in June at the SCBCA Camp in North Charleston for the Lady Wolves. She has a fearless mindset and doesn’t mind leaking out at times to score some cheapies on the other end. China can knockdown the 3-ball when given the opportunity.
