Chloe Gilbert Chloe Gilbert 5'7" | SG Mt. Vernon-Enola | 2027 State AR has had a solid summer, picking up an offer from North Arkansas College, in addition to already having an offer from Central Baptist College. And this attention from college scouts primarily has to do with her play on defense.

Gilbert is an excellent offensive player, sure, but her defense this past year was stellar. She had 6-steal games against Marshall, St. Joseph, and Concord, while logging 5 steals against Bradford and a couple of 4-steal outings.

All of these players mentioned in this article can force turnovers, but not at the rate that Gilbert does it. She looks like a defensive back the way she reads the eyes of a point guard and intercepts their pass. She plays with active hands and stays low to the ground, capitalizing on sloppy ball-handling by poking the rock away.
