A 5’6″ 2027 guard from Arkansas who was I was impressed with ability to score and create offense off the dribble. The first play of the game I watched her, she set up a defender and hit her with a back cut to score an easy layup. She was hitting 3-pointers from well beyond the line and she also attacked the close outs to score on drives. She also got downhill with a nice burst on dribble penetration.

Whittington not only created her shot while being pressured, she also created spacing to get it off, and seeing her drop it over the outstretched hands of defenders was nice, yet so was her mixing it up to score or dish off the dribble. She also gave me the “catch and shoot” from deep, while being pressured, of course

Chloe Whittington Chloe Whittington 5'6" | CG Mayflower | 2027 State AR has been a major asset for Mayflower so far this season, especially on defense. Mayflower uses a tough fullcourt press and Whittington is one of the reasons as to why it works so well.

Whittington forces turnover after turnover, whether she is in the press or not. She shuffles her feet well and stays in front of her assignment at all times. With her active hands, she can scoop up loose balls, pick pockets, or deflect passes in order to get the ball into her hands or the hands of her teammates.

Offensively, Whittington scores the majority of her points off the fastbreak. As soon as the possession changes in favor of Mayflower, Whittington is the first player down the court, and she seems to always be open for an outlet pass.
