A very good three-point shooter with great range from anywhere on the floor. She can pull up off the dribble and go to the basket at a high level. She has already eclipsed the 1000 point mark in her career and was able to pickup two division one offers!

Selby’s lightning quickness makes her a constant threat on both ends of the court. Offensively, Selby’s athleticism allows her to attack the basket and score in bunches, making her one of the most difficult players in the region to contain.

With her combination of speed, athleticism, and scoring ability, Selby’s game continues to demand attention. As she builds on an already impressive résumé that includes over 1,000 career points, expect her to remain one of the most electrifying and productive players in the region.

Seventh-seeded Indian River faces a tough road test against Salem High School. Any chance at an upset rests in the hands and very quick feet of Selby. A defensive disruptor capable of ending possessions with lightning-fast steals. Selby combines relentless pressure with the ability to get downhill and finish at the rim. Already surpassing the 1,000-point milestone in her career, including a 47-point performance this season. Selby has proven she can take over a game. If she finds a rhythm early, she has the tools to lead Indian River into upset territory.

“The best offense is a great defense” is a familiar basketball cliché. However, it is a cliche Selby embodies at an elite level. Averaging eight steals per game, she turns defensive disruption into immediate offensive production. Her defensive efforts consistently generate transition opportunities for her team.

Selby’s defensive impact starts with relentless on-ball pressure and extends through her length, anticipation, and closing speed. She thrives in passing lanes, reads offensive actions early, and applies constant pressure that forces opponents out of rhythm and into mistakes. Her ability to dictate tempo from the defensive end makes her one of the region’s most impactful perimeter defenders, capable of shifting momentum with a single possession.

I could accurately sum up Selby’s defensive impact in one sentence: she averages nine steals per game.
However, that number alone does a disservice to the full scope of her influence on the defensive end. A constant menace in the passing lanes, Selby combines an explosive first step with impressive reaction speed and timing to disrupt offenses before they develop.

At 5’10”, she has the athleticism and length to guard larger opponents in the post, contest shots, and redirect passes without sacrificing position. Pair that with her ability to guard the point of attack using relentless ball pressure. Selby consistently dictates tempo and forces opponents out of rhythm. Opposing guards know going in—a night against Selby is going to be a long one.

A tremendous competitor, Selby accounted for 41 of Indian River’s 62 points while also recording 12 steals against Lakeland. The left-handed guard possesses an explosive first step along with the length and athleticism to attack the basket from multiple angles.

She is especially dangerous in transition and when operating downhill. This is where her speed and physical tools consistently stress defenses. Continued development of a more consistent mid-range and perimeter jumper, along with improved shot selection, will be important next steps in her progression.

Cierra had a dynamic game in a win versus Oscar Smith! She had 33 points 12 steals 5 rebounds 5 assist and 2 blocks!

An aggressive downhill attack and has a sharp change of direction, which allows her to effectively reach the rim. Cierra does a good job of utilizing her speed and athleticism to score easy baskets. Great at using and making reads off ball screens and can orchestrate the offense and create opportunities for her teammates.
