Claire had a monster first game for Ohio Xtreme 17U on Saturday of our PGH Michigan State Tournament. She was an unstoppable rebounding force on the offensive glass, finishing put-backs off two feet. Claire stepped outside to bury two triples, pressured the ball at the top of the key with a wide stance, and demonstrated excellent footwork to convert contested shots around the basket. She dribbled the ball with a quick step in the lane to finish a powerful layup off two feet. Claire knocked down many free throws throughout the day with a confident stroke and was a front-court prospect whose height, strength, and fundamentals left a great impression.

Claire is a traditional “big” who towers at 6-4 and is an imposing paint presence. She discourages drives with her high-volume shot blocking and isn’t afraid to pull the trigger from 3-point distance. Claire is a challenge to keep off the offensive glass and judging by the film, she could be one of the best centers at the PGH Michigan State Tournament this weekend.
