Howard sold me a while back yet I caught up with her on the PGH Circuit and was somewhat speechless at her “on the court” progression since I had last seen her see evaluation here yet you have to keep in mind she’s “long and athletic” which is the base, and her explosiveness gives her options and when you factor in her body control on her finishes as well as her jumper, she’s hard to contain

The Parkway senior is a Southeastern signee because she has a game that transfers well to the next level. She can take contact in the paint and finish while rebounding amongst the trees. Her ability to handle along with her height allows her to make plays others can’t. She is a player who makes others better.

Dakota is the best player in the parish hands down and the best two-way player in northwest Louisiana. Her ability to score and defend at six feet is what sets her apart. She can score from the perimeter, rebound and score in traffic plus defend every position on the other end. Howard can handle the ball and take defenders off the dribble as well. There isn’t much she cannot do on the hardwood. Her ability to lead will be paramount this season as Parkway goes for a three-peat.

One of the top prospects at the event, Howard is a whirlwind and a defensive powerhouse. She’s quick, tall, athletic and has a plus wingspan. The Louisiana wing uses all those traits to fly around the court for steals and blocks, along with demoralizing ball handlers by hounding them in the backcourt and generally using her quick feet to be a terror against guards. Along with the transition points from steals, she pushes it well off her athletic defensive rebounds. Which during those transition pushes she did showcase some point forward type aspects to her game, as she was unselfish and often made the correct to teammates. When she did decide to attack herself, Howard was very efficient around the rim.

Howard was electrifying and when you have fans asking me when I walk into a gym “have you seen 24” and my responses were, yeah, that was favorite free TV series. Okay, she’s showing signs of playing on the tele, she’s long and athletic, scores off the dribble after contact yet at times she defies gravity to finish acrobatically. She goes after everything off the rim, can even go coast to coast score yet her timing is solid, so is her jumper from mid to long-range
