Expert Analysis
Tony Chapman | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Seim has had a big junior year where she is attracting small college attention and seems to be a walking double-double each time she enters a gym. The 6-0 junior was key for the Stars in their 49-47 win over Scotus as she had 16 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks as Kearney Catholic erased a 30-20 halftime deficit to advance. On the season, Seim has averages of 13.5 points and 9.1 rebounds per contest for the 11-6 Stars.

can catch the ball in optimal positions near the bucket, she can be tough to stop with her reach and physicality. She might not have an insane amount of body weight but Seim knows how to move her opponents at high rates without causing an offensive foul. When you think about her touch and the way she moves her feet moving down the court, you start to see that there could be a future here for Seim at the collegiate level. She just needs to keep building on her foundation and the rest will be history. She does well with everything now but she will need to continue to grow until she gradates if she wants to produce sooner rather than later at the next level.

. Seim comes in at 6’0 as a Forward and she moves well for this size. She can move between the Small Forward and Power Forward position in the blink of an eye, never seeming to miss a beat on offense or defense. I’m seeing that Seim should be an impactful fact this Winter. She brings great communication and confidence with her, which rubs off on the others around her.

is coming off a nice AAU season with her Lincoln Supreme team. Seim, a 6’0 Forward, is a lot to deal with in the paint for opponents. She has proven that this Spring and Summer on the road. Her combination of length, versatility, and knowledge of the game help her produce on both offense and defense. She can kill you near the hoop with a fundamental post move, she can move out and attack from 10-12FT, and she can come out to screen the outside – usually ending the possession in a seal and roll towards the bucket. Defensive, a solid rebounder who isn’t afraid to get physical. She does a good job boxing out before going to the ball and that’s something you don’t see all the time. Seim should be a constant at KC this Winter. She has some natural ability obviously and I’m excited to see how she will be able to use that.

Seim’s game continues to improve and she had an impressive summer with Lincoln Supreme. Growing to 6-foot has caught the attention of some small colleges coaches in Nebraska as she can play inside and outside a little bit for the Stars this winter. She led KC in scoring and rebounding as a sophomore at 10.6 points and 6.0 rebounds per contest.

of Kearney Catholic High School and the type of Winter she put together. Seim is a 6’0 SF, that has an impressive square-and-shoot ability from the midrange and from behind the three point line. She also is tall enough to post up anyone who might want to sit behind her in the paint. She has demonstrated that she can score going over either shoulder, going either way once she does catch so if you are the defense, you can’t give her too much time. That’s really the only weakness I see in Seim’s game at the moment. Every thing takes a lot of time to unfold. If she quickens that up as she gets older, she is going to be a PROBLEM for others to contain.

. Seim has stepped up big time this Winter with consistent performances in both the scoring and rebounding departments of the game. She is currently averaging 9.1 PPG and 5.5 RPG in her efforts. At 6’0, Seim comes in as one of the tallest on her team and when you pair her better than average motor along with it, you can understand why she has some solid production. If Seim can continue to work on her coordination and weaknesses, she could be someone we hear more about over the next few years.
