Darby proved to be the catalyst for Statham Academy Elite 17U over the weekend. She dominated as a scorer and facilitator. This resulted in a tourney semifinal appearance, along with an automatic bid to Rock Hill, SC for the 2026 3SSB Palmetto Road Championship! Darby is one of the best-kept secrets in the 2028 class. Smooth combo guard who can score on all 3 levels. Elite decision-maker with the ball in her hands. Already a 1,000 point career scorer in high school… with 2 years left! Her feel for the game as a scorer and facilitator is truly special. She sees the floor well and gets everyone involved. Darby was recently named 2nd Team All-State for the sophomore class by CalHiSports. Expect the offers to come sooner rather than later for this emerging sophomore guard.

Darby etched her name in the history books as the 1st sophomore to reach 1,000 career points in Foothill League history! She exploded for 37 points, 12 rebounds, 8 steals, and 7 assists in Round 1 of the sectional playoffs. Big-game performer who backs down from no one! After an impressive freshman season (18ppg), Darby turned it up a notch (26ppg) and is quickly becoming one of the top scorers in the nation. How does she get it done? Darby is a tough, strong finisher inside. She is virtually unstoppable going downhill. She finishes well in traffic. She has the moves (euro-steps, spin moves, etc.) and mentality of an elite slasher. Darby is also a lights-out shooter. She can come off screens and spot-up. She cuts well off-the-ball. Her playmaking ability is elite. Very few guards can score AND pass the way Darby can. She keeps her foot on the gas pedal throughout the course of a game.

Darby is the youngest athlete on the list to surpass 1,000 points, getting it down this past January of her SOPHOMORE season. Dynamic wing that continuous to show her ability to score early, often and from multiple levels. Darby handles pressure well, works hard to get open, and scores gracefully and through contact. She is currently ranked third in the state among girls who have played at least 10 games, averaging an impressive 24.8 points per game. Despite facing constant full-court pressure and double teams, she delivered a dominant week of performances—scoring 31 points with 7 rebounds and 5 assists against Moorpark on Saturday, adding another 31-point effort with 3 steals versus Granada Hills on Friday, posting 22 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 assists against Thousand Oaks on Wednesday, and opening the week with 28 points, 8 rebounds, 4 steals, and 4 assists against West Ranch on Tuesday. Her ability to produce at a high level under intense defensive attention highlights her poise, toughness, and all-around offensive impact.

Darby is off to a great start to begin her sophomore campaign. She has been productive in virtually every aspect of the game. Scoring, facilitating, rebounding, defense, you name it! Smooth 3-level scorer who can finish with contact at the rim. Deadly floater in the lane with a soft touch. Utilizes ball fakes to perfection. Very crafty in the lane with demonstrated ability to finish with either hand. Natural facilitator who excels in drive-and-dish opportunities. Darby keeps her head up and plays unselfish despite her scoring prowess. Her ability to generate deflections stands out as well. One of the top scoring playmakers in the 2028 class!

Darby had a stock rising summer and is high on our watchlist to have a big time breakout sophomore season. Multi level scorer with a quick release and high level first step. Lead guard tendencies that has a knack for getting a bucket when her squad needs. Showed composure, pace and leadership against national competition this summer. Excited to see her growth and development this season at the HS level.

Darby is coming off a record breaking freshman season, and having a huge summer! She has consistently showed her ability to score and create for others against higher level competition.
