Darrionna Howard Darrionna Howard 6'1" | PF Clayton | 2023 State NC is a power house all on her own.  She dominates the block with her post moves and strength being able to seal off opponents and score some points.  On the other end, she is sure to block shots protecting the rim at all cost.  She isn’t just an inside threat as she can move all over the court putting up her shot over her opponents, and she knows how to shift the defense with her cuts throughout offensive sets.

Darrionna Howard Darrionna Howard 6'1" | PF Clayton | 2023 State NC was showing how she’s ready for college grabbing the board and exploding up the court.  She hustles back on defense grabbing a steal to take it immediately up the court finding her open teammate cutting to the hoop.  She had some points off of putbacks, too.  She knows how to take matters into her own hands handling herself in the paint using her body to protect the possession and score some points.  You could see how important she was to the offense controlling things in the paint as the opposing second half adjustment was to double her whenever she caught the pass.  She showed her defensive IQ drawing charges, and she was ready to block shots when people tried to drive in the paint.  She had back to back steals on defensive pressures, and she took these all the way herself.  The first she scored an old fashioned three point play on her own, and the other she dished out to a trailing teammate for three points.

Another dominant athlete from the Carolina Flames family is headed north to Delaware.  Howard has been consistently one of the best players on the court when she competes, and what makes her so fun to watch is she seems to expand what she can do on the court every time.  She can guard all five positions being able to body someone in the paint or step outside to keep up with guards.  That translates well to the offensive side of the ball as she can step outside to drain the three or drive hard to the paint scoring through contact.  She is aggressive on both ends of the court, and she uses her strength to protect the possession on offense and block shots on defense.

Darrionna Howard Darrionna Howard 6'1" | PF Clayton | 2023 State NC (featured photo) uses every bit of her 6 foot frame to be dominant on all areas of the court.  She can body anyone in the paint on her way to some points or rebounds.  She is a three level scorer seeing the floor well in order to make the best play for her team whether she is taking it all the way to the hoop, or she is setting herself up for a jump shot.  On defense, she is tough to score against with her shot blocking ability.  She recently announced her top five schools: UNC-Charlotte, East Carolina, James Madison, Delaware, and Howard.
