Crawford helped the Lady Bearcats get to the Class 5A State Championship Game this season. De’Ashaj creates scoring opportunities for herself and her teammates with some crafty playmaking skills. She really likes to go to work with her left-hand getting the ball into the gaps and paint. Crawford averaged 17.8 ppg this season for the Lady Bearcats (27-4).

Crawford made the jump up from #32 to #24 this time around. She really knows how to direct the offense from out top for the Lady Bearcats. De’Ashaj can get the ball into the paint and hit the gaps whenever she wants it seems. Crawford really likes to use the bounce pass to set up her mates and she feels quite comfortable using her left-hand quite frequently.

De’Ashaj rebounds the ball well from her position on the floor. She likes to play the game in attack mode. Can the Lady Bearcats be a strong contender in Class 5A next month?

When looking at the girls’ card for this year’s Bethune-Bowman MLK Showcase, one would have figured that Denmark-Olar vs. Rock Hill would have been the game of the day. Crawford put 23 points on the board to ensure Saturday evening’s matchup was not close. She is very confident in her ability to drain 3-pointers – and it showed as she was true on five occasions from downtown. Complimenting what Crawford can get accomplished from 3-point range is how she is a gifted attacker of the rim and displays all around veteran instincts. Crawford’s versatility in the spots she can play on the court is another attribute that will serve her well at the next level as it does currently.

Crawford is an UNSIGNED SENIOR point guard. De’Ashaj has good court awareness and really can get the ball into the gaps and the pain at will. She knows how to use her left-hand very effectively to finish plays. Crawford is quick end to end on the floor with the ball in her hands. De’Ashaj rebounds the ball very well from her position on the floor and really likes to play in atack mode. Crawford finished with 13 points in a win over Ross HS (OH) today.

Crawford will be a future Stock-Riser with her play this summer at times. She averaged 15.9 ppg, 4.3 assists and 3.5 rebounds last season for the Lady Bearcats. De’Ashaj will join forces this season with Aubrey Stevenson in the backcourt for the Lady Bearcats.

Crawford can push the ball up the floor with either hand or find an open teammate on the back end. De’Ashaj logs a lot of minutes for Head Coach Kenny Orr in the backcourt. She will touch the paint and attack gaps when she’s not dropping a floater into the bucket. Crawford connected on 48 three-pointers last season for the Lady Bearcats.

Crawford runs the show for the Lady Bearcats in the Upstate for Head Coach Kenny Orr. De’Ashaj is a pure point guard who can get the ball into the paint and find the open teammate. She’s a pass first guard who likes to get downhill at times.

De’Ashaj doesn’t look to force the issue with her passing skills as she always seems to make the right decision. She switches hands very nicely and feels comfortable finishing with both around the basket. Can the Lady Bearcats be the team to watch out for in Class 5A this season in the Upstate?

The year after claiming 5A state supremacy last season, coach Kenny Orr’s Bearcats bunch will have a new look in 2022-23. Three of its star veterans graduated and the Hankerson sisters transferred to Charlotte Country. Crawford is still around and will likely be part of the nucleus of the new look Rock Hill squad. She has previously ran grassroots for Next Generation. Crawford approaches every matchup with a fearless mentality. She brings versatility to the game with her ability to play minutes as either one of the guard spots or as a small forward. Crawford also has a knowledge of her team’s passing lanes and how to find those open teammates. Getting to the free throw line is another element to her game.

The 5A Bearcats will enter the 2022-23 season as defending champions, but coach Kenny Orr’s Rock Hill bunch went through a massive talent drain this offseason between the transfer of the Hankerson sisters to Charlotte Country Day and three seniors graduating. This creates a lane for standouts such as Crawford to fill that void. She is versatile in the sense that she can operate as either a point guard, shooting guard or small forward. Crawford understands where her team’s passing lanes are and how to efficiently dish the rock to her teammates. She plays the game with a fearless attitude, will shoot from long range and absorbs contact to get to the free throw line.
