is going to be a sensational PG at the college level once she gets on the floor for ample minutes. You might look at Durr and think that she isn’t crazy good but you’d be wrong in that assumption just because she isn’t super flashy. She is someone that you could an should be considered as PG #1 within any system she is competing with because of her ability to control pace of play, her ability to create off of the dribble, and her leadership when the rock is in her possession. Overall she doesn’t get sped up when pressure is applied by defenses and that helps her really control things as a whole as her team’s PG. We saw Durr play convincing basketball once against this season as a Senior and that helped her move up to the #32 spot in this Update.

was the type to be a first-team PG in college with the right pieces around her. Durr has only solidified that belief the past few months with her production on the ball. She is commanding everyone around her into the correct spots when need be with fluid communication, she is taking her weaker matchups off the bounce for consistent offensive attempts, she is getting her team’s best weapon the ball when the timing is correct, she is creating off the bounce when their team’s play breaks down, and she is defending with a high rate all at the same time. When the game is dwindling down and you need someone to trust to make a play for the Spartans, you give it to Durr. She will make the right choice and get someone an open look, no matter how or where that might be.

seems to thrive when the pressure is at its highest. She has a nonstop motor and almost singlehandedly spearheaded Solon’s second-half charge with her combination of high-pressure defense (5 steals), aggression at the rim, and willingness to step up and take big shots. Though jumpers didn’t fall early for Durr, she persevered and rose to the occasion through regulation and overtime. Delainey will score from anywhere on the floor and flashed that ability late game, including off of a pop from a down screen, on a back cut for an and-1, and flushing both free-throws with 55 seconds left in the game. Shoutout to

just grabbed an offer from Coe College out of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This is another solid offer for Durr as she moves into her Senior campaign with the Solon Spartans. Durr is a quick and shifty guard, that plays off of two feet and competes with a competitive edge. She always is looking to make a play for her fellow teammates with the possibilities of making a play for herself when things happen to break down. This past AAU season wasn’t the one that Durr expected falling to injury but that’s just a small setback. It seems like she is back in action now and ready to prove her worth to anyone that might be paying attention this upcoming season.

was injured part of this past AAU season but that didn’t stop her from coming back stronger than ever. Door played so well in the past and when she returned that she recently took a visit to Allegheny College in Pennsylvania, grabbing another offer to the pile she already possesses. Durr does the simple things right, she doesn’t force action, she can lead as a pass-first PG, but she also makes some notable plays while trying to score the rock. She can defend her own position pretty well and that is going to help her translate to the next level, once she gets there following this upcoming Winter. This is someone that doesn’t need to be motivated but anything else but herself. If she sticks with that thought process, who knows how far she could take things.

is a gamer. That’s been the case for a few years now. Durr keeps it simple, takes what the defense gives her, and she is successful because of that. She also has a high mental IQ out on the floor in real time. For some athletes, it takes them a minutes to calculate what is happening around them. Not Durr though. She understands situational basketball to a T as a PG and that’s obvious if you watch her compete for 5 minutes. This past week Durr was offered by the powerhouse that is called Wartburg. A big offer from one of the best D3 programs in the Country.

The Solon Spartans are a team that is trying to find a new identity this Winter with the loss of their star from last season, Callie Levin. With this situation comes a lot of opportunity and someone that has done a great job of stepping up in those opportunities is guard,

. Durr is a top leader in the state in 3 pointers made, while shooting from behind the arc at a 38% clip to lead the Spartans in PPG with just over 16. Durr is more than just a shooter though. She is a PG, that understands how to create for others on a regular basis. She just also understands how to make an open shot when the chances present themselves and that is something others could learn from.

was the spark the Spartans needed to push them to victory last night. Durr’s confident three point shooting (4/10) and aggression off the dribble (5/7 inside the arc) kept Monticello’s defense scrambling and led to 23 points on the night. If defenders closed out too hard Delainey blew by for multiple finishes at the rim. If they didn’t close out enough, she drained it in the defender’s face. Durr will score outside of the half court offense too — she sprints ahead in transition, crashes the boards hard for putbacks, and will post up if she has a desirable matchup. Overall Durr definitely made an impression with her decision-making…and she definitely has the clutch gene.

The Solon Spartans are still winning a lot of games following their 3A State Title from last Winter but they are doing it in different ways than year’s past. Usually, the past four season’s, the Spartans played off of Callie Levin but with her at Iowa due to graduation, others have to step up and someone who has been solid in that endeavor is

at the PG spot. Over the past two years, Durr has shown on both the high school and AAU scene, that she can produce as a steady rate, no matter who is trying to stop her. When you watch Durr work for five minutes on both ends, you can easily tell that there is a high skill-set here. In this Update, Durr moves from 49th to 43rd. It might not seem like a lot of movement but it is at this point in the process.

of Solon High School is going to have a big task this upcoming Winter season with the Spartans. The Spartans lose their heart and soul from a year ago in the loss of their backcourt due to graduation. Someone who is going to get a chance to step up big time because of that should be Durr. Durr is a tempo controlling guard, that is much better with the ball in her hands than not when she is coming down the court. She can move to the two position to compete if need be but I think she has proven herself as a vitiable facilitator within the right offenses. Durr has a higher ceiling than other might expect. Most haven’t really seen her up until this point but if she were to go out and do her thing, that would all change a lot from an individual standpoint and a Spartans team standpoint this upcoming season. We will have to wait and see how that all plays out but it’s definitely possible from a future outlook perspective.
