About Dellamae

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

High energy hustle; defense, rebounds, and getting my team the ball as much as possible is my goal

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Hard work at whatever I do is important. I believe in being my teammates’ biggest supporter and believe in a high energy bench. I give God the glory for everything I accomplish and strive to honor Him in everything I do.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

National Junior Honor Society

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Service is extremely important to me and something my parents have taught me to prioritize. I’ve volunteered at food banks, church, and animal rescue locations. This has helped me become more selfless on and off the court. In my last year of middle school ball especially, I saw the importance of team work and leadership and really made an effort to lead and encourage my team.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Ive been very fortunate to have faced few hurdles, other than injuries. I’ve worked hard through each of those and come back even stronger. In 5th grade, doctors found a neuroblastoma in my chest and that was a very scary time with a big surgery. Thankfully, it was benign and I overcame the weakness and difficulty breathing while recovering and had my best cross country season just months later.
