Demi stepped up for Ferndale on both ends of the court and was a huge reason why they were able to have so much success at U of M team camp. Demi pressured guards on defense to create steals, scored a left-handed scoop full speed, finished off two, buried a 3 up top and another from the corner. She has the quickness defensively and scoring ability from all three levels to take over games and lead the way for the Eagles. Demi verbally encouraged her teammates and is an important leader for the underclassmen.

There is a lot of talk about Bolton’s defense coming away from The Clash. She seemed to play downhill defensive over the weekend. Bolton didn’t just defend, but she attacked her offensive opponent. She did it with quick feet, good defensive positioning and a physical style of play.

Demi used her offensive awareness/vision to make extra passes to teammates when she forced defenders to collapse with her drives. Demi tied up the ball on a drive and stole the ball multiple times; her length and quickness give her an advantage against opposing guards. Demi attacked downhill through the defense to score on drives effectively with either hand and dribbled into a smooth wing 3 (MOI Nursing).

Bolton was a standout performer in Ferndale’s win against Ann Arbor Huron in the Michigan Hardball Classic. The aggressive and strong downhill guard was feeling her game in holiday event. Bolton guided her team with 15 points and 5 assists. She played some nice pressure defense in the game as well.

put together an impressive performance on both ends of the court Saturday. She forced turnovers with relentless pressure and quickness on the ball and put the burners on to finish plays at the rim. Demi drove hard to the hoop from the top of the key, forcing a foul and then hit her free throw. She created offensive buckets for teammates using her vision and passing ability. Demi can handle the ball with elite control using moves like the behind the back snap. She was one of the most complete prospects on the court making assists, scoring, and playing exceptional pressure defense. Demi is a prospect who will continue making waves this winter.
