An athlete who continues to grow her skillset as time goes on, Denaya’s impact shows the most on the defensive end, in my opinion. With her length and versatility, she can truly guard 1 through 4 and cause issues for bigger players in the paint. Even if she gives up some height, her athleticism kicks in and allows her to make plays. As the offensive side continues to catch up, she could become a really valuable two way piece.

She is a legit shot blocker, unlimited ceiling for this young lady. Man, she is so impressive. Long athletic can do anything with the ball, can guard the guard, lead the break and finish at the rim. She is the real deal.

Maybe the best two-way player at the event. Absolutely dominant on both ends without being selfish, she recorded at least five blocks and altered several more. Moves her feet exceptionally well and can score inside using her quick first, second, and sometimes third jump. Her first-step quickness allows her to drive past defenders with ease. With her combination of skill, athleticism, and basketball IQ, the sky’s the limit.

Bartelheim had an impressive sophomore season and was a key part of a strong team that reached the state tournament. The framework is there for her to continue developing into a strong prospect in this class. The athleticism immediately stands out, and when you combine that with her shot selection, you’re dealing with a player who can get past defenders, go over them, and still maintain control. Even on the state stage, the efficiency didn’t waver. Big fan of this kid.

Jumps well and has long with arms. A quick leaper off the floor, which allows her to get blocks, steals, and easy putbacks. Her midrange jumper was on display as well. Very high potential as a wing with a quick first step. Slender, but strong, she competes physically despite her frame. Most impressive player for Belleville East on this day. She sets the tone with effort and plays with visible upside.

One word to describe Denaya’s game is active. On the defensive end, she uses her size to create steals and block shots. It always seems like she is in on a play. Rebounding wise, Denaya gets after it creating extra chances for her team. She also possesses the ability to step out and hit a shot, adding another layer to her game.
