Destinee Benway showed up to this event while traveling with her family across the Country. Benway comes to us out of the state of Arizona and she is a very talented prospect out of the 2028 Class. In every skill’s drill, 3v3, or 5v5 contest – this is someone that stood out as an elite playmaker on both sides of the ball. Offensively, she hit a ton of shots from beyond the volleyball line from deep, she created for others off the dribble while attacking her defender, and she scored with ease once she did end up getting downhill into the middle of the lane. Defensively, she held her own. She recorded several steals and rebounds on the day, which was noteworthy. All in all, Benway is a competitor out of the 2028 Class who should have D1 offers before her high school career comes to a close. On the trajectory she is on, she has the chance to be special. She just needs to keep progressing.
