Sanchez falls into that #sizedontmatter group, and I say this over and over, it doesn’t matter when you can play. I have had a chance to catch her numerous times, yet a couple of seasons ago, she saved me because I was on a trip out of town. At the last minute, the event was cancelled, but she informed me that she was playing in another event in the same city. I attended and was somewhat speechless seeing her “on the court” progression, yet her ability to run a team, score, and create havoc on defense keeps shooting up see evaluations here

Sanchez was one of the most exciting guards at the event and seeing her apply “on the ball” pressure in the half and full court was nice but what was nicer were the numeorus times she tied the ball up with her defense. She dove on the floor for loose balls, she zig-zagged by defenders in transition and her crossover to score dropped the mic. She saw the floor across the board and dropped the jumper proving #sizedontmatter when you can play

Sanchez can be dazzling at times and her applying “on the ball” heat off the top to help create turnovers was nice but so is her ability to control the tempo and run her team. She sees the floor in the set, as well as in transition, she attacks and finishes, her twisting layup down the stretch was really nice, and she drops the jumper

Destinee was a major reason why her Lady Hoops team was able to secure a close win versus the Lady Canes 16u squad. A true PG, Sanchez controlled the flow from buzzer to buzzer and also made some clutch shots to maintain a lead throughout the game. Destinee finished with 8 points and a cluster of assists.

Sanchez is THE GLUE in so many ways and not only did she show me “the crossover” numerous times to get by the defender but she could finish with either hand. She also applied “on the ball” pressure off the top and this continued through the game both in the set as well as baseline to baseline

Sanchez is a prototype point guard who not only handles the ball under pressure but sees the floor while being defended. She’s heady, understands how to control the tempo, and every time I see her, she seems to make a Tip Sheet, like the Eye Catchers from the “3 on 3” see evaluation here
