About Destiny
Expert Analysis
Bret Swanson | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Destiny is a player you make sure you have her on the floor as a player. She really does lack a true position on the hardwood. One thing she does do is bring constant effort on both ends of the court. Omiere will jump on the deck, grab a loose ball, take a charge or simply defend a bigger player on the defensive end of the floor.

Omeire stands out as a young and gifted talent on a 4A Westwood team that is veteran-heavy. Three of the four Redhawks’ losses this season have come against out-of-state opponents and the only in-state that has bested Westwood in 2022-23 is the 2A juggernaut that is Keenan. She has taken the court in 22 games this season. Corralling rebounds is one of many attributes Omeire brings to her team. A 3-point shot as well as a midrange jump shot are elements to her overall offensive repertoire. Attacking the rim and delivering all-out hustle are also integral elements to her game.

Omeire took to the court in all 27 games as well for Westwood and proved what she can do in the frontcourt as either a three or a four. She has also participated in track and field events throughout her athletic career and has ran on the grassroots circuit with SC Future. Omeire is an asset because of her ability to do the little things that may not appear on a scoresheet such as hustling for 50-50 balls. She is also willing to absorb chargers to create additional possessions for her team. Omeire also attacks the rim with a fearless attitude and can get from one end of the floor to the other while possessing the ball.

The 4A Redhawks also brought a strong contingency to the Lowcountry. Omeire has a potent 3-point shot and one of the places where that long range jumper can particularly prove effective is when she shoots it from the top of the key. If it is not the 3-pointer she is swishing home, it is a midrange jump shot. Omiere is one who will bring all-out hustle to ensure her team is on the winning end of things. She may be listed at 5-foot-7, but has no problems playing at the four. Omeire can also attack the rim. During the spring and summer months of AAU season, she has played with SC Future.

We transition from a Destinee at Eau Claire to a Destiny at 4A Westwood. Omeire heads to the grassroots circuit to play for SC Future 2025 in the spring and summer months of AAU. Track and field events have also been on Omeire’s athletic resume. Omeire does plenty of the little things that end up with a big impact even if they are not always scoresheet-worthy. These include hustling for 50-50 balls and absorbing charges. While standing at 5-foot-6, she has no problem thriving as a four forward. Omiere is a fearless rim attacker and can get from one end of the floor to the other with the ball in her hand.
