Weaver is a quick guard who had the ball on a string all weekend. I saw a point guard who plays with real passion, and her motor was on full display highlighted by a near four point play that grabbed my attention. Her and 4C Sports Academy next stop is in New Orleans.
At Messmer, Weaver had the greenest of green lights in the state and took advantage of that. Weaver was among the leading scorers in the state, and over the summer, you could see the tools she was working with. Weaver’s a quick kid, understands her spots, and can create off the dribble. In time, she’ll start to put everything together, and she’ll become a more consistent offensive kid, but she’ll be a volume scorer in her time at Messmer because that gives her team its best chance to win games over the next three seasons.
