Dodger plays very hard. She is a young player who has a solid foundation. Dodger has good shot selection. She is learning how to recognize quality scoring opportunities. Dodger has a quick release. Dodger appears comfortable attacking the rim in either direction. He can read her defenders before initiating her offensive moves.   Dodger makes timely passes and consistently finds open teammates. When Dodger attacks the rim, she is learning to keep her eyes up, which shows a high basketball IQ.

Ring was hard not to notice right from the start. A hustle player who does what’s needed to give her team the best opportunity to win. She drives the lane and can finish nicely through contact. Crashes the boards hard, came up with second chance buckets. Showed off a nice three point shot. Plays very well through physicality. Very skilled footwork and handle. Desert Mountain has a special player if this is the freshman version we are seeing right now. Expect big things from Ring in the future.

Ring impacted every game I watched her play. She has a very good basketball IQ and understands how to affect the game without needing to score all the time. Whether it was making the right pass, defending, rebounding, or simply being in the right position, she consistently made winning plays. Her ability to contribute in several areas was what stood out most.

Ring is a bigger guard who can handle the ball and finish well in transition. She sees the floor, is a willing passer, and has also shown she can knock down the outside jumper. She should have a chance to help the Wolves early.
