Bella did a great job playing with good pace and keeping her teammates involved. She pushed the tempo, distributed the ball well, and consistently looked to set others up while still staying aggressive enough to make the defense respect her. When it came time to score, she found her spots easily and knocked down three-pointers consistently

Aguirre did a very good job of pushing the tempo and keeping her teammates involved throughout the event. She played with her head up, distributed the ball well, and consistently looked to put her teammates in position to score all while getting buckets herself.

Bella was one of my top performers of the event. She sees the court at a high level making great reads and strong passes. A point guard who made everyone on her team better. Very skilled with the ball. Rebounds very well and is quick to find an outlet in transition. Hustles hard. Very skilled handle and tremendous footwork. Plays every possession with high intensity and plays well through physicality. Doesn’t get phased by much and sets the pace for the game. High impact player.

Bella is very skilled on the offensive side of the ball. Bella can create space and handle the ball with both hands. Bella is shifty, which allows her to break down defenders. Bella is very creative with the ball and is a tough player to guard in open space. Bella can score at all three levels. She is able to make mid-range shots and knock down perimeter shots with ease. Bella plays with poise and makes good decisions on the court.

Aguirre continued to show why she’s one of Arizona’s rising young guards. She broke down defenses off the dribble, created opportunities for teammates, and scored when defenses focused too heavily on her passing.

Aguirre is the heartbeat of Desert Mountain. She’s shifty with the ball, plays at her own pace, and does a great job of keeping teammates involved while remaining a scoring threat. She changes speeds well and makes defenders uncomfortable. Aguirre understands how to manipulate space, whether it’s in pick-and-roll or in transition. When she’s dictating tempo, Desert Mountain plays confident basketball.

Aguirre impressed me with her quickness, creativity, and ability to control tempo. The shifty point guard consistently got into the paint, collapsing defenses and making plays for herself and others. She showed good feel as a facilitator and kept defenders on their heels with her change of pace. Aguirre’s ability to create advantages off the bounce stood out throughout the weekend.

Aguirre has become one of the shiftiest and most creative young guards in her class. Her handle allows her to carve up defenses, and she consistently gets into the paint to create havoc. Whether she’s scoring it herself or setting up teammates, Aguirre plays with purpose. Her confidence is growing quickly.

Aguirre is a true point guard who showed that, despite not being big in stature, her game is big. She is highly skilled and showed the ability to score as well as set up teammates with beautiful passes. Bella is one of the rising sophomores in the state.

Bella has a knack for using changes of speed to her advantage. She’ll lull defenders in and then blow right past them when they least expect it. She also finishes nicely in the lane around taller defenders.
